Presentations:  Upon request, The Village Police Department regularly gives various presentations to businesses, civic groups, homeowner’s associations, schools, churches, and other organizations. Citizen’s Police Academy:  The Village Police Department hosts a Citizen’s Police Academy for citizens who want to take part in a fun, hands-on learning experience about what we do and why we do it.  This free Academy will meet for 8 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.  Topics will include Recruiting & Hiring, DUI Enforcement, Domestic Violence, Crime Scene Processing and actual police scenarios! TRIAD is a collaborative effort between the Sheriff’s office, The Village Police Department and senior citizens working together to reduce and prevent crimes against seniors. We host the free meeting on the first Monday of each month at 1:00 PM.
