If you are going out of town and would like The Village Police Department to check your house for you, please download and fill out the application form and return to us by snail mail or email.

• The Police will make daily checks of your house (as time permits) just to make sure that everything is alright. Obviously, we cannot guarantee the safety of your home, but we will do our part to minimize the chance that your house will be burglarized.

• If you are to be gone for an extended period of time, we highly recommend that you stop mail service and newspaper delivery to avoid the appearance that no one is home.

• You will receive confirmation by e-mail of the receipt of the application for House Check Service. If you do not receive a confirmation in 2-3 days, please call 751-9564.

• After you return, (response time may vary and could be as long as two weeks) you will receive a complete report from the Police Department of the house checks performed.
