GARBAGE SERVICE:

Waste Connections, Inc. began service as the City’s contractor on August 1, 2005. With that change in contract came some important changes in service, rules, and rates.  A list of the changes each resident should know about is as follows:

Bulky-waste pickup days are as follows:  

SEWER LINE MAINTENANCE: The City of The Village owns, operates and maintains the sewerage collection system serving The Village. Residents are billed $13.40 every two month for this service. Customers are billed directly for this service by the City of The Village. For sewer backups and related problems call 751-4933. After hours please call 751-9564.

ELECTRIC: Electric service is provided to residents and businesses in The Village by OG&E. To establish a new account or to report service problems call 272-9741.  www.oge.com

SEWAGE TREATMENT: Sewage Treatment service is provided by the City of Oklahoma City. Rates paid by residents of The Village are slightly lower than those paid by residents of Oklahoma City. Customers are billed directly for this service by the City of Oklahoma City.

GAS: Natural gas service is provided to residents and businesses in The Village by ONG. To establish a new account or to report service problems call 551-4000.  www.ong.com  

WATER:  Water service is provided to residents and businesses in The Village by the City of Oklahoma City. For customer service call 297-2833.  For an emergency call 297-3334. Since customers in The Village do not pay the same Ad Valorem (property) taxes as residents of Oklahoma City, (assessed to pay for water improvements), rates paid by residents of The Village are slightly higher than those paid by residents of Oklahoma City. Customers are billed directly for this service by the City of Oklahoma City.
